We are now expanding our presence into the Indian market and are seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Lead to spearhead this growth. Our software solutions streamline and automate the shipping and customs process, enhancing efficiency and compliance for businesses worldwide.
Position Overview:
The Sales & Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth in the Indian market. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales background and expertise in the shipping and customs software industry. The successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively across India to engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1.    Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
o    Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and challenges in the Indian shipping and customs software industry.
o    Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy tailored to the Indian market.
o    Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
2.    Sales Leadership:
o    Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business growth.
o    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
o    Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events.
3.    Marketing Initiatives:
o    Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads in the Indian market.
o    Collaborate with the marketing team to create localized content, promotional materials, and digital marketing strategies.
o    Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote [Company Name] and its offerings.
4.    Client Engagement & Support:
o    Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
o    Provide product demonstrations and training to potential and existing clients.
o    Gather client feedback to inform product development and improvements.
5.    Travel:
o    Travel extensively across India to meet with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
o    Attend industry events and conferences both domestically and internationally as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the shipping, logistics, or software industry.
•    Proven track record of success in a sales leadership role, with experience expanding business into new markets.
•    Strong understanding of the Indian market and cultural nuances affecting business operations.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•    Willingness and ability to travel extensively within India .
